Math: Homework is pg. 247  6-24 even if you did not finish it in class.
Literature:  Homework is to read chapter 4/review plot points on Shmoop.com
and be ready to write a chapter summary on Thursday.
Eng: We did work in class on Participles, no homework tonight.

Dear Classes:  Thank you for your patience while I adjust to a new life and responsibilities with an infant son at home.  Usually, there is no homework for my classes, the only homework is assignments not finished during class time.  This week there will be some homework.

Literature:  Homework for tonight, Monday, Feb. 9 is to read chapter two of Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry and be ready to write a summary of the chapter in class tomorrow.  Also, The vocabulary sentences for this week will be homework due on Thursday, Feb. 12.  There will also be a 10 pt. vocab quiz on Friday, Feb. 13 that the students can study for.

Math:  Section 4-2, Unit Rates and Proportions is due tomorrow the assignment is pg. 234 6-24 even
There will also be a quiz tomorrow on sections 4-1 and 4-2 at the beginning of class tomorrow.

English:  We reviewed chapter 14 in our textbook today on pg. 419 #1-20 all.  We will do work in our workbook tomorrow and have the chapter 14 test on Wednesday, Feb. 11 in class.

November 10-14

November 11-14
English:  This week we are learning about conjunctions and interjections in chapter 12.
Monday's assignments were Exercises 14 and 15 on pgs. 375, 376.

Literature:  This week we are reading chapters 2 and 3 in the book  The Outsiders.  We are also continuing to work on learning new vocabulary.

Math:  We are starting chapter 3 in our math book this week.  The topic is fractions.  Lessons
1-3 will be taught and assigned this week.  All assignments can be turned in by Friday for full
credit.

Week of Nov. 3-7.
Due to the minimum days this week, the workload for all my classes will be the small.
7th Grade English:  No Homework this week, we are only working in class
8th Grade Literature:  NO homework, we are starting to read the book the Outsiders.  Students must have their book on Friday for the "Book Check, " which will be worth 100 points!
7th Grade Math:  We have the chapter 2 test on Friday!
the review assignment pg. 114 1-55 odd except for 29 will be due on Wednesday at the end of class, but it can be turned in on Friday for full credit.

 

Week of Sept 2-Sept 5, 2014
Period 2 Literature: We finished reading Kurt Vonnegut's satire "The Lie" today and discussed its theme.  Tomorrow we will go over the 4 Elements of Literature.
Period 3 Math: We will finish our review of Fractions tomorrow and move on to Percents next week.  pg. 634 1-23 odd is due Friday, Sept. 5
Period 5 English: We worked on parts of a complete sentence this week.  Subject and Predicate.  No homework! :)

Tuesday, April 8

Math:  No classes today
Literature:
Today we worked on our academic vocabulary and Worksheets associated with our reading comprehension strategy for the week, making predictions.

 

Welcome to Quarter 4.  It's going to go fast.
I now have a Literature class that meets at 4th Period.
Period 1 Math: We finished Assignment 8.4 and Will have 8.5 on Monday
Period 2: Math: We finished our Chapter 7 Test today and we will start Chapter 8 on Monday.
Period 4 Literature: We wrote our paragraph about one specific interest using the prewriting circle map from yesterday.
